NTSC / MUDO – GRISTLEISM

MUDO is one of the works of the Brazilian experimental musician Iggor Cavalera. He is best known for extreme music releases with bands like Sepultura, Mixhell, Cavalera Conspiracy, Petbrick, Soulwax, as well as numerous other collaborations with different artists and producers. His first releases date back to 1984.

NTSC (Noise Terrorist Social Club) is a Belgian electronic duo comprised of Stephanie Van Houtte and Dwid Hellion. Negative characteristics of sonic disillusionment merged into a unified noise aesthetic tender to the harsh difference between focus and stir shrill saturation, manic attention to detail beyond traditional musical confinement.

In November 2006, INDUSTRIAL Records released the Gristleism.

This stylish & decorative tiny electronic box possesses the capability of playing 13 classic Throbbing Gristle songs with the simple push of a button
Equipped with a dial to control the speed of playback.

MUDO & NTSC have each taken their Gristleism boxes and/or disassembled, mangled, circuit-bent, remixed, reimagined, broke, rebuilt, altered, exorcised and exercised each box to create these unique interpretations of Throbbing Gristle’s masterwork.
