After being presented for the first time on cassette format under the American label Grey Matter Productions, “IV: Memoirs of a Machine Girl”, the fourth full length by the Canadian entity La Torture des Ténèbres, is ready to land with an European edition as well.
Co-released by Xenoglossy Productions (Italy) and Breathe Plastic Records (Netherlands) this album is the band’s longest effort thus far. On this effort, desolate and sidereal passages melt into a retro-futuristic imagery, bringing us back to ’30s New York. La Torture des Ténèbres’ funereal omen gazes at the past, warning about a future to rebuild, in the form of noisy and impenetrable black metal, inscrutable to most, therefore to be kept with carefulness.
